Draft Update – MML & FCBL4

Sent out the first versions of the draft file to help with drafting, top returning players in both leagues along with top Juco and Freshman. I’m sure I’ll send out an update in the future this is good to help get the drafting going. Both leagues have started! ~ Rick

  1. Nobody asked me but…I have to say that the most interesting first pick of all time was turned in by Sam Jacobson Went To Class when they took sr Jaiden Delaire-f, from USD. Delaire is a good player, having been arguably Stanford’s most productive player when he was there, but, even then, did not rebound and did not “stat out” as a player with much fantasy upside. Now, if he becomes a 15-18 point & 8+ rebound guy, great. But, this pick makes me wonder who’s advising the Sammies, or, maybe Sammy lives in San Diego and thinks he knows something that nobody else does. I didn’t even bother listing Delaire in my personal files, having gone over the stats. So, no malice intended, but, it’s a weird first pick, man…

  2. Gator Bait, I understand your indecision without knowing for sure who you were thinking about. Minor had the next highest fantasy point per game average (fppg), plays at a low DI level where he can kill it, and, all of a sudden is a f/c. That would have been my choice over yours, which was Evbuomwan, only because when it comes to the Ivy League, players often do less statistically in conference play compared to non-conference play. However, I don’t think you can go wrong; especially, since I believe that Evbuomwan should be asked to score more this year and he will probably rebound a little better as well. He’s an Ivy League stat-stuffer with some upside. I don’t think that Minor has that. So, I certainly think that Evbuomwan is a good pick and, if it was me, while I can say this now, after the fact, I would have struggled with the pick as well (with Estrada & Pember gone) because I would also be considering three other players as well and would have to choose just one of the five. As for the Virginia Gentlemen, whom I believe really like centers, they get Minor and that’s a quality add to a roster that has to be almost completely rebuilt. Great start for both of you!

  3. Let’s go Alex! Scott is chomping at the bit!

We could finish the 3rd round by the end of this weekend if guys are ready…look at how well the FCBL4 is doing!!!

  4. Excellent pick from the Hardwood Heroes, in selecting B.J. Mack. I had him as the 4th best FA. Warthogs, Psychos, and, The Hoop Guru (2 picks) are up next! The draft pick drought is over. Let’s go fellas!

  5. All right! 4 picks already today! We are moving through the 3rd round like the Ukranians are moving through the Russians, slowly but steadily. Can we do it? Can we finish the 3rd round today? GB, you’re up my friend!

  6. Sammy! You’re up! GB & VG on deck…Let’s go guys! Let’s have a huge Saturday and make a dent in this thing so I can rest easy this coming Thursday…

  7. C’mon everybody, let’s make this a big Saturday! We are 66% through the draft. Let’s get to 75% tonight and up over 80% by the end of Sunday evening so we can coast through the rest and not have to draft on the 27th. We can do it!!!

  8. North Pole, come in out of the cold and make a pick, then just sit back with a nice cup of hot chocolate spiked with some Grand Marnier and bask in satisfaction!

    1. Sorry I just parked the sleigh after getting back from watching a D3 College Football game in Cleveland with my daughters. Pick made. See you all in the 12th round!!

  9. Good work Fightin’ Reindeer!

Hoosiers are up! Hardwood & Psychos next with The Hoop Guru then having another two.

We need this to be a good Sunday!

    Draft is on the 27th!

  10. Miracle of miracles, a pick!

Psychos are up with The Hoop Guru following right behind with back to backs.

Prepare, prepare…with luck we will have those three before nightfall…

  11. One day more… I’ll refrain from any more Les Miz lyrics.

11 picks gentlemen. Come on. Are you waiting on that secret scrimmage info to leak out? Or maybe that exhibition game box score? I’m finished after my least obvious “breakout” player selection in round 11 but some of you probably don’t want to have a live draft for 1 pick.

Also, Sam Jacobson wins the best named drafted player with his last selection. Treyson Eaglestaff from North Dakota?? That’s fantastic. Enjoy the scrimmages guys. Can’t wait for the FA period to start and even better 11/5.

    1. I agree with Gator Bait. Love the Treyson Eaglestaff pick. Definitely on the all cool named players team!!

Almost time for a new season. The Reindeer are ready to fly fellas!! Let’s do this. Good luck everyone!

      Fear the Deer!!
