Quote from Grouchos on April 6, 2023, 6:32 pmYeah, I don't get Handlogten leaving at all. He obviously wants to go to a higher level DI program. The type of player he is, I don't think it will affect his fantasy stats that much, but, he would probably develop his offensive game better if he stayed at Marshall...Jameer Nelson's stats are going down. He chose to play for an "offensively indifferent
program in transferring to TCU. I expect he will lead them in scoring but at a cost percentage-wise on fg's, and, his rebounds figure to go down, as do his assists...

Quote from Grouchos on April 6, 2023, 6:33 pmEstrada moving to another program is not a plus for my DVG's in my opinion. Like Nelson, he could lead his new team in scoring but the level will be higher and his stats figure to suffer. This is definitely an "L," for us...

Quote from The Commish on April 7, 2023, 10:28 amJudging the portal moves once all done will be interesting, I'm in agreement on Nelson, I don't like him going up in class, even if he gets Miles FGA, he won't be able to do other stuff vs competition as well. Estrada needs to stay in his weight-class as well. Handlogten rebounds and blocks usually translate but with all the departures at Marshall he would have been the man for them with way more FGA opportunity that if he goes up in class, plus he'll need to gain some weight/muscle for the rigors of those battles, unlike Broome whose body was ready.

Quote from Grouchos on April 7, 2023, 3:54 pmYeah, I think you are spot on with those remarks on Nelson, Handlogten and Estrada. Wonder if there are going to be any more "portal bombshells" to be dropped, or, if from here on out it's just guys declaring for the NBA like Jordan Hawkins did today...

Quote from Grouchos on April 10, 2023, 1:26 pmHandlogten to Florida! Well, it's the SEC. I've never actually seen him play, but, although he is a legit rebounder, I would have to think that his rebounds are going to go down, because, his minutes aren't going to be much more than 24-26 a game due to level of competition, fatigue, fouls, etc., etc. I think that Gator Bait probably has to hold on to him but it will be a wait and see type of thing...God, I hate the frickin' portal...!#@#$@$^#&(*#*#&#^%@$#!

Guessing he replaces Castleton, body-wise not much different but Castleton had different game but he should be able to rebound and block. Scoring will be issue but if you get enough OReb you don't need to be super-skilled on offensive end.

Quote from Grouchos on April 20, 2023, 2:16 pmAbmas to Texas is not a wonderful move for Gator Bait. Dalton Knecht to Oregon is a move that is up in the air. He's going to start and going to impact for Oregon but he probably won't be "the man," as he was at Northern Colorado. Still, he's a very athletic, talented dude. I think Prozac needs to hold on to him and wait and see...Graham Ike to Gonzaga is interesting. If he can come back strong from his injury there is no reason he shouldn't be able to attain fantasy "stud" status for them. I also like Ashworth to Creighton. Same player, different surroundings make him a better bet to do well with the Bluejays. Chris Ledlum to Tennesse wipes out his fantasy value. Ditto for Zach Austin to Pitt. And Mostafa leaving Coastal Carolina for TCU kills his fantasy value...
